Module 4 of Kidney School outlines the key parts of a CKD treatment plan and role of patient. The purpose of Kidney School Continuing Education courses is to educate renal professionals about the medical and psychosocial impacts of end stage kidney disease, as well as patients’ experience of coping with this chronic condition.
Objectives
After taking this course, participants will be able to:
- List the common medications that most dialysis patients need to take
- Explain the role of diet and fluid management for people with kidney failure
- List three aspects of dialysis that patients need to self-manage
